Vitas is 49 and has been staying at the Night Shelter in Ilford for a few years. He is a great guy who gets on well with volunteers and guests at the shelter. He has been working as a security guard but it's not been stable. Often he has to work until 4 am and it doesn't give him regular work. To move into rented accommodation he needs to have a stable job with good pay and regular hours.
He is a hard worker and has skills in construction but he needs a CSCS (Construction Safety Certification Scheme) Card to get a stable job on a construction site. He is from Lithuania and also needs some assistance to help him pass the test for the cards.
Vitas needs to raise funds to hire assistance so that he can obtain the CSCS card. This will enable him to get a stable job in construction with enough pay so he can save money to pay a deposit and move into long-term accommodation.
This would be just like another former rough sleeper who has moved into long term accommodation after 8 years in the shelter with a job in construction.
Please give generously to help Vitas to achieve his goal.
