Rosemary was referred to Renewal Programme supported Housing, for support and housing back in November 2015.
Prior to residing at the Renewal Programme, Rosemary was sofa surfing with friends and rough sleeping. She had been on the streets for nearly 2 years, fleeing a violent relationship with her then-partner.
While at the Renewal Programme Rosemary, sought support in regards to alcohol misuse, attending weekly sessions with Change Growth Live, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre. She also got a tremendous amount of support in coping with other issues, such as budgeting and dealing with her past trauma.
Rosemary has adapted incredibly well and has proven that she is capable of sustaining a tenancy and living independently. Rosemary is now scheduled to move into her own accommodation, where she will have continues support from staff on site.
However, Rosemary's flat is currently entirely bare and is not suitable for her to live in at all. She is hoping to afford some basic furnishing, including a wardrobe and a fridge freezer, with the help of your generosity.
She currently volunteers with Memorial Church in East London every Monday morning, helping in the kitchen, where she serves soup for homeless people.
Rosemary is a very kind individual, who loves socializing and has a good sense of humor, enjoys going out to meet friends and doing charity work and intends to spend more of her time volunteering after she has settled into her new home.
